| On Friday, May 9 at 11:30am, the Arts Club of Chicago, in association with Silk Road Theatre Project and Next Theatre Company, hosted In Conversation, a luncheon and panel discussion with playwrights Julia Cho and Heather Raffo. The conversation was moderated by Jamil Khoury and Jason Loewith, respective artistic directors of Silk Road Theatre Project and Next Theatre Company. In Conversation was part of a broader collaboration between Silk Road Theatre Project and Next Theatre Company which promoted works by Julia Cho and Heather Raffo. May 1 – June 15, 2008 Silk Road Theatre Project produced the Midwest premiere of Julia Cho’s Durango, directed by Carlos Murillo. May 3 – May 18, 2008 Next Theatre, in association with the Museum of Contemporary Art, produced the Chicago-area premiere of Heather Raffo’s 9 Parts of Desire, directed by Joanna Settle. |
